Candra "The Cannon" Archbold - Greer, South Carolina
Candra's conversion from electronic darts to the traditional steel tip game began paying off last year, landing her on final stages with some of legends of the sport.
She was born on a 120 acre cattle farm in Ludington, Michigan and grew up playing several sports in high school including track and field, softball, volleyball and basketball. While learning the bartending craft, she was first exposed to electronic darts, a couple of friends got her started and shortly after that she was winning local events. She was a relative unknown in the area but soon became a force in the regional dart scene and beyond.
In 2009 Candra and her husband to be, Bob relocated to the upstate area of South Carolina and she was exposed to the steel tip game for the first time. For her the transition was fairly easy but she found herself playing more 501 than she was accustomed to. But it wasn't long before her passion for the steel tip game grew and she began playing in local leagues and regional tournaments. In 2010 she earned her first ADO National playoff in Las Vegas, NV and last year she started finishing well in singles and doubles as she began playing more regional ADO and MLD events.
She enjoys facing the best competition, developing her game and in general just playing brings out what she describes as the " Happy Girl ". When not playing darts you can find Candra tending bar or spending time with her family and their dogs.
