The Kryptonite Girls turned up in Charlotte and rocked the house all weekend long. In all, eight ladies showed up and four of them had earned a spot in the ADO National Masters Playoffs on Friday hosted by the Charlotte Open and the QCDA.

Candra Archbold won her bracket to advance to the finals and Paula Murphy won a tie-breaker to reach the finals. Bette Cunningham was also it this tough bracket. Sandy Hudson also won her bracket putting three K-girls in the running for the England trip. In the end, Sandy won her fourth trip to the Winmau World Masters to be held in Hull, England. Paula finished 2nd and also qualified for the 2nd time in her career. Sandy and Paula both made their first trip together in 2008. Candra played very well in the finals and throughout the day, but she missed too many doubles in key situations in the finals. She was disappointed but happy to reach her first ADO National Finals Bracket.

Paula, Sandy, Candra and Bette would get to the finals quite a bit during the weekend along with Sandy Haas, Candi Ellis, Lora Josey and Marlise Kiel.
Paula beat Sandy in both 501 and Cricket Singles Finals. During 501 I noticed Paula's entrance music was playing so I walked up to her and said " how cool is this, your song "Smooth"is playing". She replied she asked the DJ to play it. I laughed then headed over to the DJ and got him to play Sandy's song next.
They teamed up in Ladies Doubles and won Cricket over fellow K-Girl Marlise Kiel. They also finished Top 4 in 501 Doubles. Paula won Mixed Triples and Sandy was Top 16, then Sandy won Mixed Doubles Cricket and Paula was Top 8.

Candra would team with Candi Ellis to win Ladies Doubles 501. Candra also finished Top 16 in both Singles events and both Mixed Doubles events. Candi was Top 8 in Singles 501 and Top 16 in Mixed Doubles 501.

Bette finished 2nd in Mixed Doubles Cricket, Top 4 in Cricket Doubles, Top 16 in 501 Doubles and she earned two Top 8's in Mixed Triples and Cricket Singles. Marlise also had a 2nd place finish in Mixed Doubles 501. Sandy Haas finished Top 8 twice in 501 Doubles and Mixed Triples. she also had two Top 16 finishes in Mixed Cricket and Singles Cricket. Lora Josey had a Top 16 in Cricket Doubles. In all, the girls won 2 spots on the American Team in England, 6 titles, 5 2nd place finishes, 2 top 4's, 6 Top 8's and 10 Top 16 finishes.

The White Mountain Shootout in New Hampshire attracted 2 of the K-girls this weekend in Bette Cunningham and Pam Briggs.

Bette earned 2nd place finishes in Chicago style Mixed Doubles and Ladies Doubles. She also finished Top 16 in 601 Triples and Singles Cricket.

Pam said she seemed to finish just out of the money rounds in most events but did earn a Top 8 in Ladies Doubles.

Sandy Haas was at the Tennessee State Championships playing with a new Monster dart for the first time. She won Mixed Doubles 501, finished Top 4 in Ladies Doubles Cricket and Top 8 in both Cricket and 501 Singles.

Many of the girls were resting after an epic tournament in Virginia Beach last weekend and getting ready for next weekend's Charlotte Open and ADO National Winmau Masters Playoff.

America's largest prize money event has came and went with seven of the K-girls in attendance at the 28th Virginia Beach Classic.

Much thanks go out to Paula Bushey for running a great event and adding a Women's Cricket Pro-Shoot which was a huge success. Bette Cunningham, Paula Murphy, Pam Briggs and Sandy Hudson were seeded and received berths in the Pro-Shoot. While Lora Josey and Candra Archbold had to play in qualifiers where Candra earned a spot in the field. In an all Kryptonite Girls final Paula beat Sandy 5-4 in an epic match lasting over an hour. Pam earned a Top 8 in the event.

Paula would again win 501 Singles coming out of a "brutal" bracket to post a win over fellow K-girl Bette Cunningham. Paula would also win Mixed Triples and Doubles Cricket with Sandy and finish Top 4 in Doubles 501.

Bette also won 501 Doubles and finished Top 8 in Cricket Singles and Doubles, she had a Top 16 in Mixed Triples. Along with the 1st and Top 4 in Ladies Doubles with Paula,  Sandy finished Top 8 in 501 Singles.

Candra earned a Top 8 finish in 501 Doubles and had two Top 16 finishes in Cricket Doubles and Cricket Singles. Pam had a Top 8 Finish in Cricket Singles and a Top 16 in Mixed Triples. Candi Ellis was Top 32 in Mixed Triples.

Morgan McCormack and Valerie Goad were in Dallas for the DDA's Super Tournament similar to ADO events. Both found success and each won a Singles Titles in their local event.

Our jet-setter was again doing what she does best, "fly". Marlise Kiel went all the way to Hong Kong for a electronic dart event. She has now traveled to four countries in the last six months playing darts. This time Gloria Gutierrez went with her making 11 girls in action this weekend.
