This marked the second time in Pam's career she earned a berth on the American team and she certainly felt more prepared to take on the world class talent this time around. This is basically the toughest worldwide event in Ladies darts, year in and year out. Pam came over earlier this trip to be more rested and mentally prepared to compete for a World Championship.
The Lakeside qualifier was her first event and after having a "bye" in the first round she drew the tough Anneke Kuijten of the Netherlands. Pam had a short window the practice before the match, which is normal is this very crowded facility, she never really found her stride bowing out 3-0.
In the Winmau tournament, she again received a "bye" in the first round. Her second round match was against Fran Shore from Australia and Pam threw well throughout, eventually losing 4-1.
We are all so proud of Pam, she represented her country, the kryptonite girls, her family, friends and league mates well. I'm sure she can't wait to go again. Thanks to all the people who contributed to help fund her trip, the support is greatly appreciated.
Lora Josey was the only other player in action down in North Carolina at their Ladies State Dart match against the Piedmont team. Lora's Hickory team prevailed 17-7 and she went undefeated on the day.
