Lora "Slice-n-Dice" Josey - Richmond, Virginia
Lora is one of the most unique darters you would ever hope to meet. A talented player, who has improved in the ADO rankings each year despite a demanding career at as Medical Examiner in four North Carolina counties.
She first played steel tip darts in 1998, but it wasn't until 2008 when she began playing league and tournaments that she started to get more serious about about the sport. Lora has won both ADO and MLD events and is active in several dart organizations. She serves her hometown league as Vice President and manages the Hickory, NC ladies travel team.
She truly gives so much back to the sport as a role model, ambassador, player and friend. Recently Lora received an amazing honor when she was asked to become the USA Ambassador for the WDDA ( World Disability Dart Association ). The organization is very important to Lora who herself is an amputee and cancer survivor.
Lora was born in Mooresville, NC and now lives in Conover, North Carolina with her partner who serves in the US Air Force. She is active in her community serving as a committee member on the Catawba County Child Fatality Team. She is a graduate of East Carolina University who earned her MBA/MHA at Pfeiffer University. Lora enjoys golf, softball and pretty much anything to do with the water, which I think is a requirement for being a "Parrothead".
