Pam "Briggsy" Briggs - Fitchburg, Massachusetts
Pam is talented, highly ranked and respected player with world class experience. She loves the competition and it seems to bring out the best in her, the grace under pressure.
She was born in Claremont, NH and moved to Fitchburg, MA at age nine, she still lives there today. Pam was involved in many sports at an early age and in 1989 at age 22, her friend convinced her to join a local house league where she proceeded to beat most of the players, including the guys. Such success does not go unnoticed in the New England area, a hotbed for national darts. Around 1992 she started visiting area tournaments, meeting more players that lead to more tournaments and playing ADO Regional Qualifiers. Her first experience wasn't too good and she didn't want to continue playing these events, but soon that feeling faded and her game developed nicely.
In the early 2000's she began to travel more often and take the game serious, she eventually played another ADO Regional and began to find success on a regular basis, she earned several National Playoffs and still today wants to win the ADO National Championships that have eluded her. She still stays mostly in her region mainly because of high travel costs but does make some international trips. In 2009 she earned a spot on the ADO American Team which traveled to England for the Winmau World Masters. This year Pam will again experience the ultimate honor, representing her country in this classic event.
Outside of darts she prefers spending time with her family and her dogs. She loves to bike, hike, read or just work in the yard.
