Sandy "Storm" Hudson - Greer, South Carolina
Sandy is one of the nation's top female dart players and ambassadors, representing America in the World Championships three times.
She grew up in Greenville, SC and played many sports in high school. She earned a scholarship and played basketball at Mars Hill College.
She started playing darts in 1990 when she returned to her hometown after graduation. She was first exposed to darts while she and a good friend were out playing pool one night. She caught on quickly and soon joined a local league team and began playing regional tournaments while starting her sales career in the alcohol beverages industry.
She began to play tournaments on a regular basis in 2007 and quickly started climbing the rankings finishing in the Top 10 and earning her first international team spot in 2008.
In 2009 she finished as runner-up in both ADO 501 and Cricket National Championships. Since then she has become one of the toughest competitors on the American dart scene finishing in the Top 10 fives times despite playing a very limited schedule.
Today "Storm" as she is called, continues to travel when possible around her full time career and family commitments. She has become one of the most popular and engaging players on the tour and a leader in her community. She married her husband Chuck in 2002 and has one stepson Trevor and granddaughter "Zoe Jane".
