Stacey "The Raven" Pace - Louisville, CO
Stacey comes from a small town near Pittsburgh, PA and bleeds Black and Gold. Her dad worked in a Steel mine but Stacey wanted something more, she moved to New York City right out of High School chasing freedom.
She had a strong desire to work with marine animals and within four years she landed her dream job NY Zoological Society training whales, dolphins and sea lions. She worked there for two years before transferring to the Bronx Zoo to work with zebras, giraffes and large exotic cats. She loved her work and would stay there for 10 years. I was during this time she found darts at a small bar on West 3rd Street in Manhattan and where she met someone instrumental to her development, Bruce Kei. She credits him for teaching her so much not only about form, outs and strategies, but sportsmanship, fearlessness and humility. It was here she developed her passion for the game that has lasted almost 30 years.
Shortly after taking a position at the Nashville Zoo she met her husband to be Danny, she claims it was love at first loss. She explained she had played 7 men at a bar in Nashville and he was the only one to beat her. She stepped away from darts for a while after the birth of her first child and eventually took a job with Southwest Airlines which landed her in Denver, CO which is not only an major airline hub but a hot spot for darts. When she returned to darts it didn't take long for her to regain her form and passion for the game, she enjoys traveling with her family to play events now and has had success in both electronic darts and the traditional steel tip game. But make no mistake, this heart breaker is a steel tip girl from the Steel City where she played volleyball and was a pitcher in fast pitch softball. She has played in the band in high school and says she still has her flute. She sold her piccolo for a one way bus ticket to New York City where her dart adventure began.
